A survey of 1,002 people jointly conducted by the Social Survey Center of China Youth Daily and Wenjuan.com shows that 59.6% of respondents prioritize transportation convenience most when renting a house, 88.9% expect more housing security measures, and over 60% hope to establish a rental blacklist and increase the supply of indemnificatory housing. Since the “Housing Rental Regulations” took effect on September 15, 71.8% of respondents have encountered problems (“pitfalls”) when renting, while 67.7% believe the regulations can enhance a sense of security in renting. Experts say the regulations promote the legalization of the housing rental market.
